TeamSpeak is a software that allows users to talk on a voice server with other users like a conference call. You must have a microphone to communicate.
This tutorial will explain the basics for joining the InportRace TeamSpeak Server.

This tutorial is written for TeamSpeak 2.

If you haven't already installed the TeamSpeak client, download it HERE. Once you have the installed the TeamSpeak client perform the following steps:

Configuring TeamSpeak

If you've already set up your buttons you can skip this part.

1. Open the Settings menu and select "Sound Input/Output Settings".
2. Select "Push to talk". This is very important, no one wants to hear you breathings, or slurping your beer, or your kids yelling in the background. Click the Set button and press a key ( this is, of course, the key you will push to talk...). You can use any key not already in use in Sail Simulator. We recommend you to use V as that key is not used by SS5 by default.
3. Click the "Activate local test mode" button, press V (or whatever key you used above) and speak. Make sure you can hear yourself. If you can't hear yourself your microphone is not connected properly, or you have it muted someplace.
4. Once your microphone is working click the "Deactivate local test mode" and click the Close button.

Connecting to the InportRace server for the first time

To connect to the IPR server, click on connection -> Connect and follow these steps :

1. Your local addressbook is still empty but we are going to add a server here. Press your right mouse button in the white left section and click on "Add server". You can name the server, InPortRace. Validate by typing Enter.
2. Now fill in the server address in the specified field: process-it.eu:8767
3. After that you can fill in your nickname (this should be your boatname used in SS). 
4. Check 'anonymous' instead of 'registered'
5. Fill in default channel: "In Port Race" (make sure to include the spaces).
6. Now just click 'connect' to enter to join the TeamSpeak channel.

Tips; you can fastly connect to the IPR server by clicking the teamspeak logo, in the right column, on the website.
